Ripleyamadeus (Ripley) Anne Todd
7th Gryffindor
Age: 17
Gender: Female
Appearance: Ripley has chestnut hair which curls a lot causing her to hate it, but can be straight with a very nice hair potion. She wears it up for the most part in a pony tail, and if she can get someone to do it prefers it in a French braid so it is out of the way and can be seen with it down. She's 5'11 and weighs 185, not your average ‘look at me, look at me’ type of girl. She has brown eyes that show all the emotions her face doesn’t. Her face is slightly round and has a barely visible scar on her right eyebrow.
Ripley’s body type is that of a pear, the torso is small to big, which means she's a little poufy around the middle, her hips are wide, as are any woman’s, and then thins out on her long legs. She has a couple weaknesses on her body, including being ticklish on her sides. Her left arm is her weak arm; same with the leg, her left knee was wrenched ruff housing with one of her guy friends, so she has a limp on that leg when the weather is damp.
Ripley spent most of her childhood with boys and around hockey players which has paid of because of that she is stronger than most girls, and can take a hit without bruising to easily. As stated before she's shy of her midsection and does everything she can to get rid of the extra baggage, but it amounts to no end, so, she exercises and practices hockey to improve it.
She loathes the school uniforms, for Ripley give her jeans and a tee-shirt and that child will not make a peep, but until that time Hell Hath No Fury Like A Teen With No Jeans. Her nighttime attire is her old hockey jersey and boxers year round, winter or summer.
Personality:
Oh, there are so many ways to describe this charming teen. Let’s start with grumpy, she hates mornings and if she hasn’t had her early skate she will not only be grumpy, but very short tempered. She rarely cries and if she does it never involves pain, this is a girl who has gotten her nose broken, a high stick to her eyebrow and been beaten up on the ice. Men. Men can make her cry, in the middle of the night when she knows there is no one for her. A born pessimist Rip has learned take what life throws at you, it’s a test that a higher power is giving you. Its pass or fail just do what you can, when you can.
She tends to be very kind to her friends, understanding and comforting, but to her enemies, well Gods have mercy on them because she won’t. She’s not afraid to stand up for her friends, to tell them off and give them a boot in the ass while she’s at it. A rock and roll girl you’ll never see her listening to rap or pop, classic rock is her genre. A friend back home had once told her she was as cold as ice. And that she is. Her favorite quote she had come with is this. “With a fire in my heart and ice in my veins I will play to the end.” Life or hockey—it’s undecided.
Dry wit even in the serious moments, someone could be dying and she would try to ease the tension of it. A fiery temper if provoked enough. Serious when the time calls for it and she's just a basic Virgo who likes to be organized, on time, caring to her friends, sensual, practical at times, mischievous and witty., sarcastic as all hell. Ripley is a perseverant, defiant, crude type of teen, who is a hockey player and with that sport has the traits of a man. When angry punch a wall, when sad—punch a wall. When happy celebrate and get drunk—well, maybe not the last one.
If she were facing off with an enemy she'd be out there and asking them questions, like during a face off with one of the guys on her team she was messing around and asked hey how's your boyfriend, he good? Gets punched, swears and goes right back to taunting
She is not a morning person, ever. She's fiercely loyal to her friends, and family
Time after time she'll watch birds fly by and wish she was free like them, to do as they willed, but she can't. It's not possible. She's a fighter. Though even if she seems like a barbed-wire-covered-teddy bear, she wants to love. To let herself go and be someone’s girlfriend. Her weaknesses are many, she sucks at muggle math and isn't the best at potions, her spelling is decent, she isn't good at charms, curses yes, charms not so much. Her mouth and quick temper has gotten her in plenty of trouble.

History:
Two Aurors one muggle born, one pure blood, one mission and a world of love. Alanna met Zach one winter day, he was going after the same Death Eater, they fell in love before their charge was even dead. Months of being just friends, turned into two years of dating, which turned into ten years of marriage. Year three on September first Ripley Todd was born. With her many others were born that would help lead the new Order that would arise some years later.
From the age of three Ripley showed interest in hockey, watching the television with her dad, brown eyes bright with interest. When she was five her father put her own skates. The girl was nearly a natural, her strides were long and almost perfect, except for one minor detail. Her father was holding her hands. Letting her go the young girl flew into the a snow bank. Sitting in a pile of white snow, with pink cheeks and shining eyes Zach Todd realized that this was his little girl. He loved her first, he held her first, from the first breath she breathed when she first smiled at him, he knew that loving his daughter was why he was there.
Both Alanna and Zach gave up being Aurors in America and settled down in Boston when Ripley was six years old. Ripley settled right into school and skating. Her father sent her to a clinic and she came back a better skater, and luckily able to stop. She was the only girl on the pee wee team for her school, and knew that with that came a path she'd set for other girls. But at the age of nine she realized that no girls were joining, they were figure skating or cheerleading.
When she was eight her parents brought her to England to live, talk about a life turned upside down, they became European citizens, though Ripley thought of herself as an American. Alanna sent a letter to America to inform the Ministry of Magic there, that they had in fact moved, Ripley's files were moved to the London Ministry.
Her letter to Hogwarts arrived when she was ten. Ripley wasn't surprised by being a witch she had known all along, why else would her mommy be at the sink while a broom swept the floor by itself? On a duty type call Zach went to America, to stay for a little bit of a vacation there, let Ripley settle in at school and since his marriage had been hitting rough patches it seemed like a good idea. Her father told her she would go to school for the year, and go to Boston for Christmas which he promised her a Bruins game since they had become her favorite team and that he'd get the team together for a pick up game.
Ripley's first year went as well as could be, her potions grades weren't as good as some would hope and her DADA grades were the best. Nothing changed for her, she missed being with the team when she could, but eleven year old Ripley knew she was a witch. Her second year brought friends and enemies, her traits from the ice went with her this time, anyone messed with on friend they were messing with the whole team. True a team needed at least six, and she had four, but the numbers were growing as was she, mentally, physically and emotionally.
Third year started out great, Rip made plans with Zach to come to Boston for Christmas again and skate with the Bruins, a charity rally for the Boston Police Department. She had a new boyfriend Jared sadly he cheated on her with a Slytherin, though not as broken up as she should've been, Ripley shrugged it off with a good skate.
A week before she was supposed to go home she got a letter from her mother, her father had been shot while escorting the Senator to his home. An assassin had shot from a roof top and her father had moved at the right time, to save one life, but gave his own in the process. She blamed the Gods, herself, her mother, the school. Mostly God. How could this have happened? She would ask herself night after night. Torn between fulfilling her dreams as a hockey player and staying in school to become an Auror she settled on defending the world she was now wholly apart of.
The rest of that year she got into fights, skipped classes and wandered around at night, getting detentions left and right. Her fourth year things had cleared up a bit for her, Alanna sent her to live with Maggie in Ireland, Rip bid good bye to her team, and her game...the thing that had her holding onto life. Maggie had been at the birth of Ripley, and knew right away that this girl would amount to great things. Her sister whom she did not get along with was turning into a sleeper to put terms simply. Alanna didn't speak to Ripley until the middle of her fourth year and sent a letter telling her she had met someone and they were getting married in December. The very same month had father died and only a year later. Torn up inside, once more she resorted to fighting. This time the head master threatened to expel her in a fit of rage and sorrow she told him go ahead. He couldn't. There was pain inside this young girl, too much for her to handle. He tried to help, and only succeeded in having her fight back.
At the wedding she met Bill. In an instance she disliked him, in a minute she hated him.
"The rules will change," He said calmly, fixing his bow tie in the mirror observing Ripley. "No hockey, no jeans, no tee-shirts, you will wear dresses and respect me and the Dark Lord." He turned to face the fourteen year old. "No pictures of that man you called daddy."
Ripley furrowed her brow, her mother was marrying a Death Eater? No hockey? No jeans? Those set her on the path of anger, but when he said that about her father. It lit the fuse on a canon. "Like hell."
"Excuse me?"
"You heard me f*ckface, I said like fuc*in' hell." Ripley snarled, straightening to her new height for 5'9, not close to the 6'0 man, but he saw the rage. "I will not stand here and listen to this bull. If you were half the man my father was--"
"I'm more of man then your muggle saving--"
"Don't you dare speak of my father that way!" Ripley drew her wand out, and held it towards him, hand steady. Her lips pressed in a thin, tight line. "Don't." She whispered.
He smiled at her. "Poor little Ripley. No daddy, no mother that truly loves her, you were a mistake, she never wanted you. Did you ever wonder why she never tucked you in?" He circled her, taunting. "Why she never hugged you? Never watched you play? She didn't love you."
The young girl began to shake, anger rushing through her blocking logic. The knock at the door had both of them stopping. It was time. Ripley walked into the church and sat in the last row, sitting straight and tall beside Maggie. The vows were said and when it came time to object Ripley stood.
Maggie reached for her god daughter, but the brunette had moved into the aisle.
"I object," She stated fearlessly, for someone so young her voice hit home for many of her family members that were left. Bill sneered at her. "And you," Her brown eyes met his blue ones without fear, but with anger. "If you don't die of old age, then trust me," She pointed to herself. "I'll do it." She turned and left the church. The battle lines were drawn then and there.
Ripley's fifth, and sixth year brought no troubles. With high enough grades to become an Auror Ripley began to plot on how to do so without Bill knowing, and decided to say ‘Screw it.’ She was still the same old Ripley who wanted to play hockey, and so forth.
Now in her seventh year she knows she backs the Order, she knows where she’s heading for sure, and she is willing to fight for a cause, even if it means dying for that cause.

Hogwarts, a nice place indeed, but not quite home anymore. Nope, Hogwarts was just a school again. Sure Rip had friends there and yeah they were making everything better, but with homes usually came love. You know that feeling that makes you all warm and fuzzy, your heart beat faster and your palms sweat, the knots in your stomach all before a hockey game
. Well, that feeling had gone away from her thanks to her heritage. Not like she gave two hoots in hell about it anymore. Which was a lie. She had other things to worry about, nothing now, but she could come up with something.
Shifting her messenger bag higher onto her shoulder she turned into the History of Magic classroom. Choosing a seat in the back she sat down, sighing softly at the thought of another long, boring class. Looking around she saw she was the only one, no professor either. With a smirk, she picked her bag up again and left the room.
To hell with schoolwork. Beginning on her way again, Ripley was well aware that she would have a detention, maybe two for skipping. Going back to the common room she ditched her things, changed her clothes and went out again, if anyone asked she could say she was sick and on her way to the Hospital Wing. In her jeans and tee shirt she felt like the normal Ripley, her hair hanging loose at her shoulders, brown eyes shooting daggers at the first years. Same old Todd just a little less heartbroken.
She had decided late last night that she would never be good enough for Remus, but she would be good enough for someone else. Who that ‘someone’ was she had no friggin’ idea. Maybe someone from the States or someone that actually knew the game of hockey, hell maybe a Muggle. Who knew? Turning down an empty corridor she took a moment to appreciate the quietness, the peacefulness of being utterly alone, everyone else was in class or outside, she was wandering the halls, looking for trouble….usually it was trouble that found her.
The old days would've been when Ripley wandered around with Brent or Jake in the U.S muggle school until she had found out, now though, now she was on her own. She didn't care anymore, if she did than she would keep holding onto the memories of Saturday's playing shinny hockey. One day though, she'd do it again.
